I punch the on button… It beeps, the ‘checking ram thing’ comes up and checks the ram… it says “Detecting IDE Drivers”. Sits on that for 30 mins. Then says:
INVALID BOOT DISC PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM BOOT DISC.
help!!
system =
P4 2.6ghz
1024mb RAM (2x512 dual mode)
Saphire Radeon9600XT 256mb
Windows XP pro
…uh I can’t remember the rest right now, but thats the basics.
Well I’ve recovered my files. Thank god. But now comes the task of working out why the bloody hell my pc won’t recognise the disc. I’m assuming it’s one of two things:
a) the motherboard connection is fried
b) windows is an inferior OS and I should buy a mac ASAP.
I’m thinking the former seeing as my guitar amp does give off extensive amounts of vibration right next to my pc, which could dislodge god knows what.
Anyway… thanks everyone for helping out on this issue. Especially Ben, I dont know where I’d be without you buddy… :sigh:
