some creator tools are getting so smooth that they wipe out the tiny pause where you notice what you’re doing. that pause is annoying, sure, but it’s also where you catch bad choices before they turn into a mess.
maybe that’s just me being old and suspicious, but i think a bit of friction can be useful when the user is making something with taste or judgment involved. where do people think the line is between helpful flow and overconfident automation?
