Some friction in creator tools feels useful

i get why everyone wants the smoothest possible workflow, but sometimes the little annoying step is where you notice something is off. when a tool makes every choice disappear, i end up moving faster and thinking less, which is not always a win.

has anyone else hit that point where a creator tool is so polished it starts feeling kind of flattening?

That “little annoying step” is basically a speed bump for your brain, and I miss it too. I’ve had this with Figma lately—everything’s so slick that I’ll crank out ten variants and only realize after that the underlying idea was shaky, because nothing in the flow forced me to pause and notice.

That “little annoying step” feels like a speed bump you put before a sharp turn.
