Did a bit of dabbling with illustrator.I have an unfinished project I would like comments on.I would like especially to get critique on the main figure .Never went to art school or anything so pliz forgive me if the background is a bit ****y
I like it overall, but there is something wrong with her face she seems to have a one centimetre neck. And her mouth is way too big. Other then that good work
mouth looks bigger than normal…and the shading still makes it a bit flat. the blacks make the pic more 2d-ish. add a bit more grays:)
thanks guys , am learning as I go.Will carryout adjustments
this is just a rough before I clean up and add detail.Any better???
Personally? No.
The first version is better then this one.
I think you just need to make the mouth smile more in the 1st version and perhaps make the face thinner?
back to square one ;( :crying: :crying:
NICE JOB!
what best program use to create illustration ?
adobe illustrator ? photoshop ? i m noob w/ this but luv.
I’d stick with the first one and add some subtle highlights to the arms so they stand out from her body a bit.
The face needs loads of work; her teeth are way too big and her lips need defining a bit more. The nose could do with some shadows/highlights too, just to give it some depth and perhaps add some colour and detail to the eyes?
Good start though!
I think I should have put in a bit more work, kinda did it in less than 3 hrs I think so I guess its more of a scribble than a fully fledged drawing , but I will take your advice onboard
The first version is better becuase the stripes are too vibrant, I really like the background, it goes well with the whole piece.
The top of the eyes are too thick and the left elbow seems disconnected.
stripes could be good, just taken way way down! Shadows and highlights would be great. One thing I noticed is that the butterflies blend in to the background too easily, what if they were a different color or lightness?
Awesome!
eyes need to be worked on… the upper part esp…
also give some shading to the bottom of the nose…
am working on it right now started from scratch :hitman:
she just looks like she had a few too many donuts. you might want to reduce the other elements too (lines, butterflies, circles). other than that great job, if you are only starting.
for illustrations anything from pen & paper to ps. if you are talking about vector art(?) you’d probably be best off with Adobe Illustrator.
just started yeah, first attempt at using any vector program other than flash
