Okay…I’m very paranoid now. I went to teamphotoshop.com and let them look at it, and now I’m not so sure that I should’ve put this layout up.
They have made good points, though. And yes, electrongeek, I did some in flash.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the splash page, because I personally think it doesn’t collaborate with the rest of the version layout.
And…does anyone know how to get rid of that stupid black line over my b/g image on the 2nd index? It wasn’t there before, until I went to add the skip intro button, and change the text.
Well it’s pretty obvious that your photoshop skills are good, but your layout design is a bit weak.
Here are a few problems I noticed:
Some of your text links are a bit hard to click on because the hitarea isn’t well defined because it’s only text. For example the “skip intro” button, I would have to click directly on the text iself in order for it to work. If you’re using a button symbol then place a rectangle in the hit state so that your hit area is more defined. Anything placed on the hit state will be invisible and won’t show up.
The loading sequence of your site was a bit slow, but not too major.
Try to keep your layout consistent, I noticed that the layout changed when I went into the bio section. I don’t like how the navigation disappears either.
Also everytime I go back to the homepage, it replays the intro which I thought is pretty wierd.
The intro is on the same movie as the news/featured project content, which I need to separate from it. Would it look better on the splash page, or have it linked to go to the splash page, and then to the main index?
Also, I just thought of something for the navigation menu. Where my “CWCONLINE” logo is on there, do you think I should link it back to the main index, or will no one notice it being targeted?
How would you fix the loading sequence? That’s the only one I know of, right now.
Mlk, if you tried to go to any other page, besides the bio page, they’re no longer up, due to PHP errors. So, bio is the only page up. The errors you’re getting is an include error, as the cwconline.php file can’t include them, anymore.

1.) Splash page was updated with “Requirements” in text form, instead of image form.
2.) Flash intro was updated to where there was more targeting area for the “Skip Intro” button, and it was removed from its previous location, and placed by itself.
3.) Main index was updated. The Navigation Menu system and the Latest Project system were combined into one, making the resulting new file less than 200k.
pants Okay…I’m going to head to bed now so I can work some more tomorrow, but first I have a few questions.
1.) Would it look tacky to have a text navigation menu on the content pages, under a logo? I don’t want to put a flash menu there, as I’m trying to use as little flash as possible.
2.) Does the preloader still lag? If it does, how can I fix it?
