Easing effect disappears after adding a frame (Newbie, don't hate)

Ok so I’m teaching myself Flash CS4 using the Digital Classroom book. Its a good book but I have encountered something thats not supposed to happen or is not explained.

Basically your told to create a “bounce in” easing behavior on the word Bounce.

Later your told to extend the frame so they are in view as the rest of your animation plays. So you add a frame down the road and what happens is the ease effect is not doing what its supposed to…bouncing! If I extend the frame via the “arrows” it just makes the bouncing longer, but when I add a frame, there is no bounce!

Huh? Probably a simple explanation…someone help me, I’m the type to question everything that ain’t right.

Sorry if my question sounds somewhat retarded.

Cheers.:hang:
