how do i check the file size of my movie?
Go to File > Publish Settings, click on the Flash tab and on options, check “generate size report”.
Now whenever you publish your movie, it will generate a text file with the size info and other info as well.
what operating system?
macs, select the file and press apple+i for the info dialog. On windows, you can usually hover over the file for a hover summery, select it once in a folder view to get a summery on the left or rightclick and chose properties or, while selected hold alt and hit enter to get the properties window.
in either, with the correct file view in a file folder (list in mac, details in windows) there is a column telling you file size of each file in that folder view.
