This is my first animation in Lightwave, please bear with me. I know the movie compression sucks, I didn’t spend too much time on the background and texturing etc. This is to test how the light reacts on a metallic surface. Let me know your opinion…negative feedback accepted.

Hmmmmm… I have 3ds Max at work on my computer… I told my boss to get me Lightwave…
“TO ME” and I stress the ‘TO ME’ part, 3d studio max seems a bit childish in layout… icons, arrows, controls all over the place. As soon as I saw it I said to myself… I says Self…" I can’t see what all the hub-bub is about…"
LW is a solid second level 3d program… 3dmax only got to where it is because it was cheap when it first came out… everybody bought it…
sort of like VHS verses Beta and Mac verses the PC…
3ds works… if you like it stick with it, Lightwave is great as well they both run par with each other
but if you are use to LW there is no need to switch…
…just one mans opinion…

P.S. cool animation BTW…
I like the LW, can’t knock 3dm (haven’t sampled it). There is a good amount of tuts, reading through a thousand page manual is not very exciting. I’ll keep at it for now, it’s not like I am trying to compete with Pixar…
