I’ve been trying to get into using after effects to create nice effects for flash which seems to be the way to go (for banners and rollovers). The problem is I can’t create anything quite functional as it seems to slow down flash alot or the files end up too big etc.
Can someone provide basic guidelines for preparing stuff in AE to export for flash.
For example some particle effect and how to export it , optimise it , prepare it for flash … and how to prevent flash from slowing down when running these files ? Is there a way to export from AE with transparency for flash? What compressions to use etc ? My best bet so far in terms of filesize was quicktime .mov with xdiv … still once flash file run in browser it slows down heaps (not while tested in flash)… clues?
