Hey there…
Well, i have a question about image quality in flash. I have made a layout in photoshop 6 and i have imported it into flash. This consists of background layout and an image. I use geocities to host my site…
But for some reason, when i view it in the browser… the image quailty drops dramtically from what it was in photoshop. Is there anything that i can do that will maintain picture quality?
I use dreamweaver mx to import the swf… giving the swf parameters so it wont stretch… but for some reason, on some computers it streches my site… and on others it doesnt.
Flash has a default compression on images which reduces the quality sometimes.
What you need to do is open up your .fla, go into the library (CTRL+L), right click on the image you imported, then go to Properties and mess around in there.
Thats because you are going into the properties of a movie clip, button, or graphic symbol.
When you import the graphic into Flash you can find it in the library. You need to right click on the image itself (the icon next to it will be a tree) and go to the properties of that directly. There will be quality settings in there.
