Well I’ve delved into this before on the AS forums. Is Flash rubbish at handling different language typography/character sets?
I’ve seen bold text on the adobe site stating its weakness both in character and structure… ie up or left to right. Forum chat stating different fonts are required to produce the correct render of the characters for Asian languages in particular, although western are no better.
for example I can place text in a text field of asian languages, urdu, hindi, arabic, but when I leave it, it falls back to some crazy default which doesn’t resemble the text.
Is Kirupa forced to make applications in queens English?
