How do you make a gradient go from a given color to transparent?
In the color mixer panel when you are editing your gradient, you can click on one of the blocks and choose to use the alpha down to a certain percentage.
I have been trying to use the same type of alpha gradient as a mask. It does not seem to work. If you used a liner alpha gradient as a mask over a photo, wouldn’t one side of the photo be completly visable and one side not?
Gradient masks don’t work. The _alpha is not taken into account
What a downer. What if you make a gradient_alpha in photoshop, import the image and then use that as the mask?
Nope, because the mask itself does not accept _alpha properties.
So
You could probably create the fade effect in a circle but in reverse, so it is solid color on the outside and fades in. Then save as a .png .
Then inport it, add it under your mask then use startDrag(true) so it follows your mouse.
Maybe.
