I asked a member who had a .jpg footer at 500x42px to remove his footer. He didnt after 24 hours so i did, but then today i got a PM from him asking me why, and that his footer wasnt a flash footer, so it didnt have to adhear.
I told him it made no difference, but this was hte first time i had thought of it like that. Could we change the guidelines so that it includes all footers, and a mixup like this wont occur again?
I had never thought of it like that, it could be becaues i was around when the footer crackdown page was around too, but it was an interesting loop hole none the less
hey , i was wondering if there a way to calculate the properties of a footer with some script that determines if the footer falls in the requirements if not to automatically place the “bad footer”? you think this is possible, maybe a little project from some of the code heads here.
I bet a bit of JS could do that. I wouldnt know how, but it could have something to do with when you hit the submit button. You might have to make sure the user enters the width and height though.
I never really messed around with vBulletin hacks and such, but if kirupa wants me to give it a try and I can look into it. Even better, there must be a hack for this somewhere, maybe searching for something like that would work too.
