FP extensions

Hello,

I just received a reply and found out that they are using 2000 extensions. Is this the reason I’m having so many problems? Is this the reason I also can not make asp pages?

Is there anything I can do from my side aprrt from going to FP 2000 to make this work?

Thanks Again for your feedback.

Hey Jon,
That really should not be a problem. For example, on one of my old servers, I had the FP 2000 extensions installed, yet most of FrontPage 2002’s features worked. What OS does your host use? Linux, Solaris, Apache, NT, etc.?

If possible, have your host run a few of the default tests that may be included with the server extensions. If they can’t get it to work, there is something seriously wrong with their installation or configuration of the server extensions.

Cheers!

Hi,

This is the posting on their site: Network/Data Center

Powerful Unix/Linux Servers
Multiple OC-3 Connections
Apache Webserver
Cisco Switches and Routers

Even when I load an .asp page it says it dosen’t recognize it?
Do you know of another route I can take instead of using the front page extension for data saving? I like the front page program but I’m losing my hair over this rapidly!

Thanks
Jon

Hey Jon,
I’m not sure why you are having this many problems with FP. I’ll try to see if there is an alternate method to get the database results working.

Cheers!

Kirupa,

Thanks so much for even checking into this for me. Everyone I have talked to has either told me to change my host service or change to Adobe Go Live. But they have never gotten into web Database or FPE. So they don’t know if that would even fix my problems.

Any help you may offer will be greatly appreciated.

Jon
