hey guys i got a effect i want to make but not sure how. The effect is like this at http://www.immigrantindustries.com/immigrantrecords/ . When you click on the catagories the page tends to swipe past the screen like a roll of frames. Can u guys tell me how you all do it?? Thanks a million…
Looks like the picture and the text (that moves across the screen ) is one big MC and then you controll that MC from the buttons you click.
In this 
link you get to now how to make an MC move to an specific position on a event like on (Press). After that you can create the MC with all the content of the categories and then by using the buttons move the MC to the right and left of the movie.
There´s surely a more refined way of doing this, as some of the flash genuises probobly will show but this works as well

i got flash last christmas, and just played with it for a while. Then I bought a book and read it, and pretty much everything else i got at kirupaforum!
Learning by doing 
I actually learn more by using forums now but in the “begining” I just read the help manuals and struggled alot. I recomend some good book on flash but can´t recomend any ´cause I never read one but that should speed up your learning process.
