Hey, new user…

Just curious about how this script works:

Does anyone know a tutorial or something that would tell how to create an effect similar to this? Thanks

its a white mc with little boxes in it moving across the background. It probably has 3 frames that each just look like random placement of the boxes, and the whole clip slides across revealling the word. (could be scripted but doesnt need to be)

Yeah its a just a white foreground that slided across, while the word fades in on timing.

This could be done a bit better by using a mask also.

Thank you both for responding. Im new to Flash though, and dont really know where I would begin to trying and recreate this effect.
Are there any tutorials on this anywhere? Ive looked all over flashkit and were-here.com but couldnt seem to find anything that resembles it at all. I think i could recreate it if i had a rough guideline to go by, but with just your input im totally lost! hah

Am i just in over my head with this?

Oh, also. Whats a good site to go for a general crash-course on the basics of flash? Ive done things with the program already, but have mostly just skipped around and need a thorough how to on the basics.

yeah just use a mask
look at my sig thats a mask. i just made half the mask up with little +'s and the other half just a plain block of colour.

ugh… ive been trying to make this effect work for the past hour but it still doesnt work right… can anyone help me out with a tut or an fla, so maybe i could get the idea of what your talking about?
