What I’m about to tlel you may make you re-think the current paths alot of you people are tkaing towards making games on C++… But I’m willing to allow that to show you the truth…
IT’s Not milk and cookies my friends… It really isn’t. Game Programming on Flash MX is about 20 times easier… But why?
Well… Text Based RPGs are easier and File Orientation… But… Certainly not Graphics and Sounds… And Especially not OOP… It’s extremely tough work and it takes alot of time and passion to make it work as well… It’s somehting I have persued and am pursuing… I’ve been doing this for 4 years now… And I still can’t seem to get a working line engine that runs fast to work right on Windows… On DOS… I’ve done nearly everything that can be done… But Windows… Wow… This is where I hate Microsoft… And If any of you continue on… YOU WILL TOO! They have the sloppiest coders on this entire planet sitting in their offices… GRRR… Sloppy sloppy SLOPPY!
hehe… Anyways… So… Be prepared for alot of hard work and alot of sleep less nights of just researching and developing… Cause it’s long rod that ultimately… In the very end… Lead’s to funa nd excitement… If you are a geek like me
yeah. I know that, which is why I am not pursuing C++. Actually I am not pursuing C++ because I don’t need it. This part of my life (web development/coding) is a temporary stage. I am freelancing to pay my bill and tuition. My degree will be in archaeology. My current attention is focusing on web languages and that is where my focus will stay.
jubba, your going to be an archeologist? will you find dinosaur bones or atlantis for me?? whatever you find…name it after me…Makavelisaurus…rubs fingers togethr like Mr. Burns Excellent:elderly:
Archaeologists do not find dinosaur bones. That is a paleontologist. Archaeologists study prehistoric culture thru the analysis of their remains. I am planning on focusing my studies to Native American societies. Sorry Mak…

I studied C++ for about a year. I still can’t code anything that works right. It made learning AS real easy though. Once you have tried to tackle C++ AS and other easir languages are liek a cake walk.
