Zao - I think DDD just finds it hard that someone would donate a MP3 Player that they won on a kirupaforums battle to charity. I find it hard too.
No hard feelings though.

Final time this is a battle. Nothing more nothing less. Afriendly battle that happens to encompass the friendly folks from gizmodo. Gizmodo has stated that they are not going to use this logo at all. They were nice enough to donate a prize because they liked the idea. So normal battle rules apply. I will update the first post when necessary. If anyone has any troubles or problems PM me. Lets try to keep this post as uncluttered as possible.

Well, just one more thing, shouldn’t it be necessary to write a description for the logo?
description? You can include a small snippet if you like. no more than 100 characters.
We aren’t looking for a good logo… we are looking for the best out of the logos designed… just like any other battle.

I have been to Kirupa many times before for flash tutorials, but I will freely admit that I am one of the migrants who wandered in from Gizmodo.
I assume things are a tad more civil in here without the extra people and attention. I have read every single post in both this and the old thread, and I would like to personally thank MutedLogic, Simplistik, and of course DDD for being so patient, helpful, and understanding through all of this.

Hi guys, I’m a 15 year old kid who likes to do graphics design in spare time.
I’m a little pissed off, because I saw the gizmodo post, followed up the link and saw:

Open to ALL more the better
Entrants can join until end of July
Off I went to work on my logo (for quite some time!)
I then went to submit it and saw that the topic had moved and that there was now a limit to the number of entries that was already full (which had been overnight to me in the UK :()
I sent a very nice email to DDD and sent him two very nice PMs (I haven’t had a single reply, but I’ve had two PM ‘receipts’)
I think it would have been fairer if it were the first 25 peoppe to submit their designs rather than just type “I want in” or to just let anyone enter since this is just a friendly competition.
I therefore appeal to you, just for a chance to enter…
This is my design, I tried to follow a Japanese theme hence the red and the fairly subtle background motif.

any guest [or member] can right-click “save picture as”. put ur name in big letters in the middle of the page or somthing. it’d be horrible if some1 stole it, and sent it in to gizmodo as their work.
