Graphics Software

I just got a new pute for my friend that runs MX and he wants some software for image manipulation.

Nothing to fancy just for getting photos off his digital camera and putting red horns on his girlfriend head is Photoshop too much for this or Paint shop pro to basic .

Opinions anyone?

thanks Photoshop it is then

funny that about College isent it APDesign, I had the same situation, but my problem was with every app they were teaching i already knew. My advice if your finding collage a waste of time, dont look at it as i already know photoshop i can breeze through it, try to develop a style that is yours in the time you have to spare, try to push your own boundaries.

and as much as it seems like a waste of time, collage is a good learning process of the basic structure of design and its rights and wrongs. Design is not always about software.

He’s not going to College hes buying a computer

Yeah I know… the problem is I’m being taught stuff like how to make links in dreamweaver… its really ridiculous. I could have tested out of these classes when I was like a freshman in high school. I think it will get better, and this is only my first semester… but I have my doubts. I’ve pretty much come to the realization that anything I want to learn is going to be self taught, it really is the only way to keep an edge on anyone else. It is kind of sad to see the people struggling with this basic stuff though, I don’t know how they are going to manage if things ever pick up.

(I know Laslett, I just decided to get completely off topic, sorry :D)

Whoa there no need to appologise my good fellow!

I think I mis-interpreted the thread.

I 'm just trying to get some software together for the pute.

We are talking a real unadvanced user here so I’m going for a basic as possible software thats faily easy to pick up

Going off topic makes many of these threads interesting
