Hello everyone,
Alright – after reading countless articles and opinions about flash sites and search engine optimization, I have come to the conclusion that I need more spider friendly HTML than what is included in my flash generated HTML page. Even after adding meta tags and whatnot to my flash generated HTML, and even though google now supposedly reads .swf’s, it is my understanding that straight HTML is far better for getting a site indexed properly. Now on to my question….
Does anyone out here have an opinion the advantages and disadvantages of combining FlashMX and DreamweaverMX to create an essentially all flash site? – I’ll get more specific……instead of creating a separate HTML site to run along side my flash site, I was thinking about creating a very simple text site in dreamweaver type in all of my links for the pages which will be contained within my “main” flash site, and then cover up those links (using z order) with my “main” flash swf. I’m sure someone has done this, how did it work??
I don’t know much about SEO, so will this work better for indexing purposes?
