Hello from Yesteryear

Hi all
it dawned on me yesterday that I haven’t posted on here for many years so thought I would come back and say hello, looking at my post history I created my account in 2002 which is insane to believe was 22 years ago.

I learnt so much from kirupa.com over the years and even wrote a couple of tutorials for actionscript which now seem like somewhat of a waste of time now flash is dead but hey.

i see some names i remember from back then which is nice to see. This is really just a nostalgia hit but I will try and start being active on the forums again. I have moved on from those good old days of flash to PHP and in my more daily work C#.

anyway glad kirupa.com is still here and going strong it was invaluable to me back 2 decades ago.

Welcome back! The forums are a bit quieter than they once were, but there are still folks around.

The tutorials you wrote probably served a good two or three purposes: they were useful to the audience at the time, writing instructional content often helps clarify your own thinking, and a decent chunk of the programming problems from yesteryear look surprisingly similar to today’s.

Hello again @novatake! I am sure Kril, sen, and others are tired of me saying this, but I think 2025 will be the year the forums see a lot more activity :sweat_smile:
