Help needed urgently!

hi,

i have made a 4 minute cartoon and have used a projector as the method of displaying.

my problem is that when you play the animation sometimes the cartoon will get so far in to the animation itself and it will reset itself for no reason and go back to the start of the animation.

this, however, does not happen every time.

sometimes the cartoon will play all of the way through which obviously is the desired result.

there are no actions on the main timeline at all to make the animation go back to the start.

there are no movieClips etc. that are coded to make it reinitialise itself.

the animation is made up of scenes and plays in a logical order.

does anybody know if there is a bug in the player or could offer any advice.

this is needed by my client as soon as and i dont want 2 hand over something that might fall down during an important presentation.

like i have said this only happens sometimes, it is just a concern in the back of my mind.

i am using flash mx and have never had this problem b4 with flash 5.

any help appreciated.

scenes are quirky at best…

My solution would be to break up the scenes into their own swf, and use loadmovie to go between them. That is the most bullet proof way to go…

scenes have been bad news since version 3, but in MX they seem to be even more of a pain…

Rev

cheers rev…

the only thing is…

this type of machine is the only one it falls over on…

our developer has the same machine, a 3ghz p4, and it does it with him too…

the funny thing is it is running fine on the other machines here which r AMD Athlons and i have let other ppl look @ it and they have no probs…

kit has seen it and lavaboy has just checked it…

both of them r reporting that it is fine…

maybe something to do with these new machines…

my only concern is that it falls over during the presentation…

thanQ for your reply though rev…

much appreciated…
