Help with... DOTS!

i got another question, well i was wondering if one could make a white dot, probably about 5-8 pixels big, BUT have it fade on the sides… i cant do it in photoshop and bring it in becuase to have it transparent i need to save it as a .gif, and that doesnt work well with the edges. i tried it. any help? thx

it is where you have these white dots traveling on a backround toward the center, it is on the contact page of his site

you can save png’s in photoshop with transparency. then import them to flash and used jpeg compression in flash. about 70 - 80 percent is pretty good.

i think it can be done with a tween using a guide layer …

what do you mean with u can only save it as .gif ??
i save my transparent images as .png files mostly … works great

lol :stuck_out_tongue: yep your right x.vector about the motion path, bring it in as a png like we said above, and use the method x.vector mentioned.

oh jah …

don’t forget to put a mask over your ping file …
if you don’t do this you’ll see a nasty transparent square around your white circle …

if i said i can ONLY export as .gif, i didnt mean to… thanks for the help… i dont usually use .pngs because… well i didnt have a use for them

lol, heres an update and what i got so far, its all one file so… its big… im not that advanced with flash so i dont really trust myself using externally loaded swfs but maybe later!

My first flash site was 1 meg in total. one swf. But i had no one telling me how to do anything, flash 5 was not as good as Mx as well, so i didnt know any better. :frowning: i still cant believe the site i pulled off on my first try! Ill post it soon on my site.

pretty kool effect Mirage !!!. Maybe try to randomize the animated dots. I must say they tuned ou pretty nice!
