Hi! I am new to Flash MX and have already received great help from Ilyas, who probably tore out some hair in dealing with me and my questions :), but ive got more!
Alrighty, i finally got my one swf working well (its different background images that move into place on button clicks), and actually figured out how to alter the script code from _root to _parent to get it to still work well when loaded into what will be my ‘main’ swf. However, i had added the hover captions idea to the backgrounds.swf and it works fine out in the backgrounds.swf but when i load it into the main.swf, the backgrounds.swf now just basically drags the entire moviebackgrounds all over the stage – should i be changing the hover captions code from something like root to parent or possibly something totally different for it to work in the main swf (as well as still have the moving backgrounds/on button clicks still work fine too!)? I tried myself to change the code from root to parent and still had the same results, so i figured to ask. Thanks in advance!!
