I have found two sites where you can get a FREE 40GB ipod photo. I’m participating in both of the following offers (I can always sell the extra ipod on ebay…) This post may seem a little long, but bear with me…

This one is new so fewer people have heard about it (easier to get referrals), you don’t get spam ( had a hard time believing that at first, but they’ve proved me wrong so far. The only e-mail I’ve received from them is their confirmation e-mail) and you get credit fast. They are offering The 40GB Photo Ipod (color screen) or a $450 on a visa gift card or a 10" portable DVD player and few other choices. Another great thing is that they are offering a bonus gift if you complete two offers.

This option is kind of cool because you don’t have to get an ipod. You have a choice of 40GB color photo ipod, some other mp3 players, $450 on visa gift card, or 10" DVD player. You can also get a bonus gift (check the terms on the site to see how to qualify for the bonus).
The process is really pretty simple, you just need to follow the directions.

======== things to consider ========
When it comes to getting referrals it pretty simple. You have to get 10 people to sign up by using your referral link. They also have to complete an offer. You can email your friends or post your link in message boards (you have to be somewhat careful when you post your link because sometimes people get mad because they consider it spam).
I would suggest setting a separate email (yahoo offers a free account) so that you don’t receive any more junk email in regular email account.
Don’t try sign up multiple time with the same site. They will catch you and then put your account on hold. Then you don’t get a free ipod : (
