^I had to take Prilosec for 2 weeks. I also can’t have any pop/soda/soft drinks and I try not to drink beer and stick to my vodka.
Luckily it went away.

Lucky you since I have a hernia in my stomach it will never go away so I constantly have heartburn everyday thats why zantac is my best friend
I had my first heartburn at 27 years old, 6 months after I moved to Chicago.
Was at a ‘all the bacon you can eat’ event.
Thought I was dying, what’s interesting is that my reaction wasn’t “call 911!” but I staggered to the bar, sat down on a barstool and hoped that I wouldn’t fall over when I died.
Still a bit confused about that.

Yup heartburn can feel like your having a heart attack I know what it feels like had it happen to me a few times not fun.
Sometimes when I eat I feel like I have food stuck in my throat and it hurts when I swallow too, I guess I gotta go see the gastroenterologist again
Thinking back, I did once have crazy chest pains, but that was because I drank a lot of terrible beer one night…
Hrmm… I think i’ve found the common denominator in faster’s equation of life. lol
If it comes back I’ll go to the doctor, but judging by the fact that I didn’t eat dinner last night, opting instead for a beer-filled night, is probably the root cause of this occurance
Moral of the story… bad beer can slowly kill you.
Especially Labatt 50, and Molson Canadian… ugh
Canadian I can agree with - the stuff is swill…but 50?
I love 50, but there’s a reason its so cheap lol
haha - I’d say that Export is the worst Canadian made beer - might as well just drink it while sitting on the toilet
Hahhahahahahah thats what I normally do though … hahah
In other news,
this was the answer I was looking for:
And no, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are diabetic, hypoglycemia can occur in people who do not have diabetes.
me thinks its carpal tunnel syndrome… or may be you were just hungry
ftl, there are many things that your symptoms point to:
[]diabetes
[]heart condition
[]nerve damage/nerves/veins being compressed from prolonged sitting/inactivity
[] peripheral nerve compression quite possible
[] carpal tunnel (common in us programmer types (I have it in both hands))
[]lack of vitamin B12
[]alcohol poisoning (cough, cough)
Honestly, I think you should go to the doctor and have this checked out. There are more serious things that can cause these symptoms (though no need for alarm). Coming from a “medical” family, I can assure you that self-diagnosis, web-diagnosis, kirupa-diagnosis is not going to help in any conclusive way.
No matter what’s causing your symptoms, early diagnosis of any symptom, syndrome, or disease you may || !may have is ALWAYS the best plan. Seriously, not to get too graphic here, but I was having some digestive issues (intestinal pain) and decided to get a colonoscopy (yum!) to rule out the bad. I was 27 at the time, doctors recommend you get your first at 40. Anyway, I had polyps that were benign, but would have developed into colon cancer had they not been removed. Now I have to go every 3 years and get those little buggers zapped off. They even gave me some awesome pictures! Yay! :gas:;(
Point being: life’s short, don’t take any chances.:cons:

So basically faster iz in dangers!
@Faster, there’s no way you’re diabetic. Diabetes is when your body stops producing insulin, which is the hormone that absorbs the sugar in your blood and turns it into energy. Diabetics must then inject insulin to make up for the body being unable to produce it.
When the body can produce insulin, it basically makes it as it needs it (if you eat some chocolate, insulin is released to absorb the sugar). Diabetics have to inject insulin depending on what they’re eating, and obviously, if you inject too much insulin, and don’t eat enough, your blood sugars go low, which is hypoglycemia.
Now, in your case, you don’t inject insulin, and if you were having a hypoglycemic attack, that means that your body must be producing insulin, which means you definitely can’t be diabetic.
In my opinion, you had some beers the night before, didn’t eat, and got the shakes. If it keeps happening, or if you’re still really worried about it, go and get it checked out at the docs.
all I experienced last time was me getting numb… my stomach and my hands felt trembling and heavy… well yeah, I drunk and had never eaten that day, and never had a good sleep that week then I went to work… I’m low blood.
Ok so the weirdest thing happened to me today at work, all of a sudden my forearms started getting all tingly, then my hands… my fingers eventually went completely numb and my hands were shaking like crazy,
then my face got a little tingly as well…
now, was this caused by lack of proper blood sugar? or too much… i’m not a diabetic, and this entire situation is new to me (obviously, lol)
a nice BLT from Subway™ cured me though… booyah!
Tingly? I bet you it’s circulation. Take more breaks while you work. Do you exercise regularly? Vitamin B6 and 12 should help. I’ve experienced similar feelings, but with a little exercise and better diet, frequent breaks, it disappeared. And drink plenty of water, it helps.
Oh, and check your posture while you’re working/sitting. Do your hands/arms rest at an upward angle? Is your chair comfortable? All these play a role over time, and then all of a sudden you start to feel weird. Make sure you’re arms are slightly downward, and get a smaller mouse if it helps to free blood flow in your arms. Don’t keep your arms in the same position for a long period of time.
Carpal tunnel? Thats painful not numb.
I have to say it does sound strange, that it occurred in your arms. For example when people have stokes they sometimes get a pain in their arm first.
Then again I’ve pinched nerves in my arms whilst at a desk.
I’d advise improving your diet.
Thing is it could be minor, but if you don’t counter it, it might cause something worst to happen, your body could go into shock, choke on your tongue … your a goner.
Sounds like what my girl gets. Same tingly and shaking thing. Basically even a small amount of sugar intake stops it really fast for her. I would definitely agree with everyone else that you should see a doc if it happens again. The symptoms certainly sound like Hypoglycaemia.
and the fact that “Derangements of function can range from vaguely “feeling bad” to coma and (rarely) permanent brain damage or death. Hypoglycemia can arise from many causes and can occur at any age.” means you should definitely find out if you have it or not.
