A friend of mine got her new MS Zune yesterday. She was trying to install its software on a Win XP SP2 system, but an unknown reason broke up the setup at 95%. Today she came to my house and we tried to install Zune Software on a Win XP SP2 system, recently reinstalled, and the same unknown reason broke up the setup at 95% 
, Ok no prob, it will work better on Vista, its a Microsoft friendly mp3 player, and I tried to install it on my laptop, the setup didnt even started, and the error message was “Zune doesnt support your operating system” lol, amazing.
I read the requirements guide and it said " Win dows Vista is already supported!!!" wow, fully compatible , Hmmm, well no prob, I let it charging and worked in other stuff. After some hours I came back and disconnected the Zune, but isnt responding to any action, press one, two three buttons, checked the lock, nothing happened. Ok, iPod have a way to reset when it isnt responding, Zune must have it, and I found it, The useless (back)+(up) combination, not even responding, proved any combination and nothing happened, for about an hour lol, no lock, lock enabled, everything proved and the charging icon was still on the screen! Then my XP computer wasnt responding , nothing working , and couldn be a virus or something like that, I format and reinstalled windows the last week and it doesnt have internet connection, also Im very careful with my computer. I had to follow the Zune recommendation When software broke, “please restart your computer and try again” great, next time was the same.
So?? Whats the deal with Zune?, Maybe it could ran better on ubuntu or Mac OS :), The player is still on, showing the charging icon and my friend is waiting the battery to be empty if It restart on new charge hehe, else pray for a replacement. I havent had such problem with my ipod, It syncs perfectly with iTunes and its recognized on any operating system, also on kubuntu, we are looking for compatibility and MS isnt helping too much. If youre thinking in buy a Zune please think again and read all the problems and defects Zune is coming up with. Just google it.
