This one is probably best handled visually.
If you click on Botswana (it’s the only country that’s darkened) a menu drops down on the left. I’m trying to get all of the menu items the same size (260 x 235) so the entire length of the accordion menu stays fixed no matter which item is open. All of the static images are pngs and they are all okay.
The problem happens if you click on the menu bar entitled “Extension Gunners.”
That panel has a swf with couple of buttons that have some AS attached to them (rollover on the left, and a click on the right). The stage of that swf is identical to that of the pngs (260 x 235) but for some reason a layer of about 20 pixels is appearing under the swf.
What’s going on here? I can’t find anything in the AS that would cause this.
Also, to troubleshoot, I substituted a 260 x 235 swf that had nothing in it but a color fill (no button, no AS, nothing) and the 20-pixel buffer was gone. So it seems the menu buttons or the AS3 are like the culprit of magically appearing 20 pixels.
But even without that buffer, that color-only swf still wasn’t the same size as the pngs (which were done in PS). It was very close, but it was still a little off. What am I not understanding about Flash and swfs and maybe the default pixel values?
Thanks in advance.
