The more I read in to islam, to more I realise, even if its a religion, spread by war, its acctualy (fundamentaly) very tolarent, during the Islamic Empire, it allowed other forms of religion in its own empire. Because it had very little with Judaism and Christianity. Even after the Crusaders took Mecca, and slaughtered everyone (even other christians taking cover in a christian churches), and Al-Saladim took Mecca back, he did not come back and take vengance on anyone. Like Mohamed, during his first conquest of Mecca, after the fight is over, they harmed no one. But now, the fundamental terrorists are the dangerous ones! The fanatical ones.

The threat o-meter that the goverment puts out is irrelavent. The terrorist are still real, and motivation, and if religion is a motivator for it. So therfor, will this relgion motivate violence?

Get off the **** oil kick. If we wanted Iraqi oil, the we wouldn’t be helping Iraq rebuild its piplines to Syria (an enemy of the US). Exxon hasn’t loaded up ships with oil heading for the US. If we wanted oil that bad we would pump it out of Alaska.
Do you happen to have any credible links for the Iraqi oil coming into California? I searched and couldn’t find anything on that. As far I knew, the oil pipelines were still in the process of being repaired :block:

But seriously, I don’t see Saudi engagining in a civil war, and least of all not one that won’t win. I thinnk civil war in Iran is immanent, but oil is least of anyone concerns.
Oil is just among 20 other things that could possibly happen It all depends on what point of view you take. If you ignore oil and look at the amount of cotton traded between the countries, you can make an argument for domination of the cotton market. That carries over to cement, etc.
Yeah, seams you could take down China quicker by cutting of food imports.
