yeah, me too… I know that the thing about the right side of the road thing is definitely true, but I couldn’t find anything about metric. Might have been a history teacher blowing smoke up my butt…

the rest of Europe drives on the right side of the road. That is because most of europe was conquered by France under napoleon, and napolion didn’t like british ways.

The only reason I ask, is because I hear British TV talk in feet and inches all the time (Changing Rooms, and Ground Force)…

So I assumed that Britain changed sometime in the 20th Century, prob about the same time they changed their currency…
