I remember 2036 very clearly. It is difficult to describe 2036 in detail without spending a great deal of time explaining why things are so different.
In 2036, I live in central Florida with my family and I’m currently stationed at an Army base in Tampa. A world war in 2015 killed nearly three billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is centered on the family and then the community. I cannot imagine living even a few hundred miles away from my parents.
It’s going to take me forever to read this but I am thoroughly interested in it. The war or 2005 interests me a lot too, cuz I’m sure I’ll be crapping myself if it actually happens. Hmmm… this is great.
wow - I just read through both pages and it’s very cool. Really makes you think - so many things make so much sence. The way the world is going right now, I could very well see this happening… especially the civil war in 2005
The first “leg” of my trip was from 2036 to 1975. After two VGL checks, the divergence was estimated at about 2.5% (from my 2036). I was “sent” to get an IBM computer system called the 5100. It was one the first portable computers made and it has the ability to read the older IBM programming languages in addition to APL and Basic. We need they system to “debug” various legacy computer programs in 2036. UNIX has a problem in 2038.
That actually is true. Unix’s internal time format is based around the notion of a timestamp, which is the number of seconds from midnight on January 1st 1970. Because of the size limit, something will happen in 2038 similar to Y2K, except with Unix.
Even if this is all just a huge hoax it really makes you question your morals and beliefs and what-not. He has some good points about our lives being focused on ourselves and not the community and stuff like that. I’m kind of moved by all of this.
so, in my opinion, this is an extremely thought out hoax.
If we advance as much as he says we do in the next 30 years, IMO, religeon will actually be in decline… Cute how he avoided the meeting Christ question…
