I’ve recently encountered this JPG phenomenon: the size of Photoshop and, for example, Paint.NET saved JPG file differs a couple dozens of KB where Photoshop’s JPG is higher. I know it contains some additional information such as slices and other stuff I couldn’t identify with HEX editor.
When it comes to smile JPG files, Paint.NET compresses JPG file to 1 KB while Photoshop does it not less than 18 KB. Can anybody describe this phenomenon, provide URL to a clever article or name some topic-related Google keywords?
Thanks.
