Just formatted, and already

Okay, i just formatted my comp and im already about to throw it out the window

  1. Whenever i try to install wordperfect i get a windows install shield error.

2.I cant stall my AV, maybe this has something to do with the windows install shield?

3.My homepage has been hijacked the second i went online to rev0lt.net and usually when i try to go somewhere in IE it goes wacko and says not found and links dont work but then they decide to work etc.

i thought formatting would make things better :frowning:

oh well, at least now i dont have a hacker in my computer changing my background to some ugly chick with a gun.

I don’t believe it. You had to installed some kind of crap already. Only use IE for Windows Update, otherwise, on your first boot that you establish internet connection, go directly to www.mozilla.org for FF.

btw, sorry about the double post. i pressed stop then added home. i thought it would catch it anyway if i posted twice in under 30 secs :frowning:

all i installed was swift 3d, i attempted to install my av. i got firefox and i tryed to get windows update.

I remember when i did this couple of months ago. I got hit by virus when i was installing XP. Unplug the internet when you are installing xp. Seems like now you are dead meat :frowning:

well i got my firewall and AV to install. a few weird programs, svchosting.exe not svchost and qzo.exe are requesting internet access, but ill probably be able to find something on google. now im just mad because my wordperfect isnt installing :(. that and my comp and internet are slower than ever.

Yeah, reformat without the internet plugged in, make sure you actually do a Full Format, like, delete the partition, then create new partition.

happens to me. twice before, I’ve had to format my computer twice in a row. i’d get error after error, during startup to executing simple programs like MSNM, to shutting down the computer (some programs won’t respond). probably a bad windows install? :-/

I’ve been formatting every morning after I turn my pc on these las t few days cuz every time I turn it on in the morning I get a corrupted or missing system32/config :to:

I think it something with bad drivers or something… but now it seems to be working :stuck_out_tongue:
