Kirupa Help!

how do i create a marquee in dw3? :run:

Hmmmm… a DW question in the Frontpage 2000 book section.

In DW I don’t think they is a way to have DW create a marquee for you. The HTML code for it is simple though…

<MARQUEE>Your Text</MARQUEE>

Although I am not sure why you would want to do one as they tend to be very tacky (no offense).

yeah… i did dat in d end neway…

i kno i’m not as advanced as u shane :frowning: , but my project is to compare features of frontpage and dreamweaver. one aspect i’m doing is text effects and other dynamic stuff…

i’m also stuck on inserting other htm files in another htm page (e.g. if i wanted to re-use navigational links) Dw doesn’t let me do this… well, it is v3 after all…

thanx for ur help tho!

:ub:

No problem man. I haven’t used FrontPage, but I have used DW3 and MX. I love them both.

The only thing with the way I use them is that I code fully, I don’t have DW do anything for me, I basically use it for the JS/CSS/HTML Reference and the color coding/highlighted code for errors.

So I wouldn’t really know the difference between them. I wish you luck on your project

cheerz, i need <b>plenty</b> of <i>good lucks</i> - i cud <b>SO</b> easily hav finished my website in dw yesterday if it weren’t for <b>kirupa.com</b>! it’z so <i>darn</i> addivtiv…

nehoo, just incase u (or any1 els) is wondering, so far i feel dat…

<b>SHOCK HORROR</b>

fp2000 is <b>betta</b> dan dw3 - based on the comparisons so far. Sounds <i>absurd</i> dunnit?
