Had some free time at home before I went to study. So I took an image of a stock Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII and turned into something that could be called a (good enough) street ride… Not a mean machine yet cuz I only had a little time to spare on it.
But the results are worth viewin and so I thought I’d share it with you all…
Here ya go:
Original stock version:
PhoeniX’s chopped version:
Hope you guys like it.
All CnC welcome. I’ll be modding and adding a lot more to it soon. Till then, send in all the feedback.
Umm… well… definately not realistic… color is way off. I think that pretty much covers my critique
But don’t think I’m a bad guy let me hook you up w/ the best tutorial money can buy, and while the tutorial deals w/ a neutral color… if you don’t have a neutral colored car well… guess you’ll just have to make it that way from the beginning
So just the color change and sparco stickers? You might want to try it without changing the background color too. Anyhow, not much to comment on here, really.
Hmm… Taken the blue rims out… Tweaked the green a little…
Keep the feedback coming in fellas… I did this thingie in like around an hour while tryin to get my mind off my exams…
I have my worst exam on the 19th. So I’ll mod/add this on the 19th after my exam is over.
Till then, keep all the CnC coming. I’ll try to take all of them into account and work on this new infatuation of mine. (Ya’ll know how new infatuations are :P)
You need to really mess with the highlight/midtone/shadow values to make that green look real. Right now the highlights are way too extreme and its very obvious all you did is a hue/saturation layer masking the green. Needs more attention before I’d call this a good modification
The lighting doesnt look convincing and with the color change should come subtle ambient changes. Also the highlights change a bit as certain colors tend to swallow up up light (fresnel effect). Good start tho. And put this puppy in a environment. I agree with defective on the color. Although I had a evo give me run for a sec in my stang. I actually had to hit the bottle on him. And I am putting out almost 400hp without the bottle. So they are pretty fast.
Anyway just changing the color is not much of a photo manip…lets see more.
Woah!!! OK… C’s n C’s taken… Now don’t laugh at me… But that was the very first time I tried that kinda thing on cars… Anyway… Thanks to Simplistic I learnt something and here… Take a look at these and CnC me a little more
The Lancer was givin me problems so I just changed to the Cien.

And before you guys go all sarcastic again on me this is only my second try!
OK… You may CnC me all you want now! And please… I’d like some better suggestions than these: “LOL!”, “lol”, “haha lol”
What’s up with the girl on the front? That’s got to go first of all. The Lens flares hurt… a lot. If you feel that you absolutely must use a lens flare then just use one small one. Aside from that, the texture on the car cheapens it a lot. You’re kind of setting yourself up for failure here, it’s a beautiful car to begin with, it’s going to be extremely hard to improve upon. Perhaps just try giving an interesting paint job, maybe a racing stripe or something. Start easy and go from there. It needs to remain classy, which unforutnately yours did not.
I hope I didn’t offend you, just trying to throw some constructive criticism at ya. Less is more my friend.
