That beeyatch of a paper I had on the 19th is now finally out of the way. So I gave some time and practise to my latest crush: Car photochops!
Hereās a Honda Civic that I tried my hand on. If youāve seen my previous attempt on the Lancer and the Cien, please comment on this one relating to that.
Is the paint more realistic than before?
Added tribal vinyls, new chrome rims. I canāt say I worked really hard on this, but yes I gave it a fair, decent try.
All CnC welcome and appreciated.
Plus, tip me on how to improve this.
Thanks yaāll. On to the babes!

OK. On with the critique please!
(BTW, Iām loving the highlights on the rear of the car and on the right side of the bumper under the headlight, i.e; the left side of car :P)
I like the color adjustment this time. But you are over-exposing the highlights. Looks kinda washed out. Right now the lighting is not matching. Your car would suggest a hot, muggy almost extreme conditions outside. But you image is overcast and kinda moody. Maybe take it and put it in a new environment with more sunshine. Or adjust this environemntā¦gettin better tho
the color adjustment looks much more realistic than the last one. i suggest though that the decals and stuff be better attended tooā¦ especially the one on the side. it looks like you took from a black and white tattoo, but you knocked out the whiteā¦ leaving it looking kinda dumb . Alsoā¦ my only other pieve is the rimsā¦ nice new rims but still stock size on a modded carā¦ bleh! Try droppin in some ground effects
I think he meant of the decalsā¦ to which I think they are just from DAā¦? And itās not so much that I can tell they arenāt realā¦ itās just that when you did the overlay you knocked out all the whiteā¦ when in reality the white should prolly stay thereā¦ just meld it into the car to make it look realisitic
one thing you should try is to modify the body structure nextā¦ itād be pretty kewl to see some venting and stuff into thatā¦ itās a pretty slick car nice structureā¦ a few months backā¦ Ingo from 24/7 was in a car moding ābattleā and he completely redid the car, itās a good inspirational piece. http://www.24-7media.de/pics/dqscar.jpg
And actually the whole battle thread is pretty goodā¦ PM me if you want the link.
Well DDD I dunno why you canāt see the images. Must be a temp. slack in the server at freewebs. I can see them just fine.
@simplistik: Man, what kinda white are you talkin about? The white background of the decal images? It would be just ugly to have those on the car I hope I got you wrong here cuz you have helped me learn a lot. :thumb:
GAWD!!! You doodz have been cursing me cuz of all the imperfections in my design and even the best one on that thread (#1, the red mod with the carbon fiber hood) doesnāt have good highlights and far less realism than the original.
I am only seriously amazed by the first pic-link that simplistik gave outā¦ The thread doesnāt have anything ispirational. Sorry if this seems like a bad attitude but itās YOUR fault. You should have shown me that thread first and then that AWESOME picture
Looks like the tat is two colorsā¦ the black and anotherā¦ grey possibly, regaurdless the lighter color looking faded like that detracts from the black part.
Nah it was a black and white imageā¦ White background, black tattooā¦ Simpleā¦ If that translucent copy of the tattoo is what youāre talkin about, Iāll just remove it! Is it?
