So now that I have one hardware issue resolved, how about another…
When my girlfriend was over she mentioned that her (no name-Micro-spec, micro-tec?) laptop Was not receiving a charge from the DC outlet and she ran the battery down till it died. Checked, the outlet and it is simply not getting DC power.
I know the lappy sits in the same spot on the desk there and does not move.
I have zero experience with resolving laptop hardware issues. Is there even a power supply in the thing that I should be suspect of, or is it fried?
I can diagnose most desktop issues, just know nothing about laptops. I read a few pages on the solder beads breaking on the DC jacks…
I just have no clue.
Need to head over there tomorrow after work, anything I should look at as well?
Thanks,
