You called out weak data connection, and that is the first thing I would test because delay over even 1-2 seconds makes live translation feel awkward fast.

@BobaMilk yeah, that 1-2 second lag is enough to make normal back-and-forth feel weird, and even something small like ordering coffee gets clunky when each line lands late.
