MediaTemple Grid Server

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with (mt)'s Grid Server hosting, and whether it was good or bad. I know they went through a tough time a couple years back with major service interruptions and a good bit of unhappy people, is it better? Basically I’m just looking around for a relatively cheap hosting package that can scale decently.

most our clients are on them, for the most part they are OK. They suffer from what most shared servers do, which is overselling, but they work well, and they’re flexible.

MT (gs) solution is overpriced for the performance you get.

I’ve moved 5 sites off (gs) solutions to other hosts after getting pissed at the poor performance per dollar you get at MediaTemple.

I have grid and it’s fine, but nothing to write home about.

Same. I don’t have any big complaints. I suppose it’s probably a little overpriced.

Does the job for me, but I don’t love it.

moved a dv server off to hostmysite.com, 2 ‘very simple’ pages to 1and1.com and one mt (rage) solution to www.rackspace.com

All of them are really good, albeit the latter is insanely expensive.
