Ok so now that I have a better of understand of CSS and its workings I thought I would give a better design a shot since mine right now is bland. I created a quick mock page that gives a rough idea of how it will all look. I wanted it to be simple, yet, not so blah.
/edit: just take a look at the version i posted on my site www.itsjustanotherblog.com, the attached file is useless.
Hello everyone, I’ve actually taken the time to do some coding on the site since I have the time now. I change a lot of things since I posted the images (which were just mock posts).
A few things to note before you critique though:
- Most, if not all, the post images will be changing once I get the critical parts of the design down.
- Safari users, I will be making a seperate style sheet to make the text easier to read in the future.
- Don’t bother clicking on the any of the links. They all break the design of the site, I’ve only taken the time to work up the main index page. The only links that really work are the “older entries” and newer entries" buttons.
- The footer hasn’t been created but something is in the works.
- The nav is just an image right now

Make the bottom padding on the same as the side padding on the image of speed racer. I like the dashed line effect. I think the menu text could be a tad bigger. I think the gray box on the right feels out of place for the design. Besides that I really like the site, nice and simple
Thanks for the feedback. Like I said the images will be changing and the padding will probably go with it. I’m going to make some that actually work with the design of the site. As for the gray box, I’m really fond of that right now but if enough people think it should be changed I’ll consider it.
