I don’t know about you guys, but I am really excited to see this movie. A friend of mine let me borrow the graphic novel back in 2004. I was instantly very impressed by the illustrations and the story.
The basic plot is that vampires all come to a town in Alaska where there is 30 days of darkness. That alone is one of the best story ideas for a vampire flick in a long time. 30 days of darkness, 30 days of feeding. I won’t go real heavy into the story, the summary of the plot is enough to make anyone who is interested in vampire/horror films want to go see this film.
The film is direct by David Slade, he hasn’t really done much film work. So it will be interesting to see one of his biggest directorial debuts.
All in all, I am pretty excited to see it, unfortunately I am going out of town this weekend, so I probably won’t get to see it until Sunday night or so.
