when i make a mask the mask only comes through on graphics i’ve drawn not in text i’ve put on, even though there part of the same mask…help please…
try including the font outline and see what happens.

It’s called “include font outlines” and it’s either in the text panels, or in the properties panel when you have the text selected.
mind you it adds 20+ k to your movie… it’s something to consider. If your just masking a small quanity of text, like a single word, try breaking the letters apart into shapes with the Ctrl+B option.
