Really? We want to see the best of your site, not a template. To be perfectly honest a good website has lots of similarities to others, this doesn’t mean they all look the same. Just certain things work, others don’t (such as legible text). So a stereotypical comment might not be everyone pining for the same appearance, but a matter of fact that something does or doesn’t work.

I realy like how the numbers and some grunge make the layout. Also like the depth-effect and color choice!
But…
Like simplistik mentioned before, you should warn the user before he’s gonna download something/outlook just opens. The diffirent pages should be more visible i think, becouse with the flashing background it becomes a bit poorly organized when opening one. Maybe fading the background to white when opening a page?

why is it okay for people to crap all over a design…
but it’s not okay for the maker to dissagree or defend his or her design?
even if this IS a crit area, there is no reason to just accept what people say without thought. and it’s just as valid for a person to defend their deisgn to the very end.
i would never hire a person who wasn’t passionate enough to fight for their creativity and vision.

its not about fighting for his creativity and vision haam, the thing is that you can fight just fight with respect… im not saying that all the things that have been said in this topic (or the forum) are right/wrong or are said in the best possible way… what i am saying is that if you want criticism you should be able to handle positive as well as negative… if your going to “fall” for every little nudge then why even bother?

I can handle as much critique as there is, the thing is that I find it wrong to say that
it lacks one thing…style
just because it is different from other sites… or because the person can’t feel the style it has.
If some ppl prefer different fonts, alright, I can understand that, but it doesn’t immediately mean the whole site is wasted, saying that kind of empty comments is useless, because unlike other things that have been said here these arguments can’t help or change anything about the style since they have no clear meaning
And finally, another example for a useless comment

Anyhow, not to add more flame to the fire… Its an interesting site, not sure if its great for a portfolio thing, as its suppossed to appeal to clients and Im not too sure how many clients (As in the average 40 year old) will appeal to grunge type. But, hey if its for you, kudos! But, like people said, transitions, maybe more variety on fonts for subtexts and definitly add in a warning about downloads…
