Well Im pretty well finished with this site for my first real all flash client and need some final input… I have some prim and trim things to do but everything is pretty well there so let it rip… If its good then let me know and if you think its garbage then let me know why

i like it, nice animations for the buttons, the only thing that i might chnge is the font on the home page, apart from that its pretty nice, btw sweet rims

Yea I hate the font that Im using for the homepage right now but embeding fonts in that dynamically loaded text field is giving me fits! The fonts work in everyone but that one… I just cant figure it out… If one of you would be willing to take a look at a 3 meg fla you could see if you could make heads or tails of it?

Anyway, for the most part the site if aight. But lots of room for improvement IMO.

The intro isn’t good. It in no way flows w/ the site. Also, the music is a funky techno loop where as the music in the site is urban and rap (Ludacris, CH, etc.). The EQ animation you have is laggy.
The pixel font everywhere is nasty looking. It needs to be at 8px or something… you have it much larger than what it should be.
The MP3 Player doesn’t work well w/ the site either. Very generic, and gaudy. The song text is hard to read. The EQ same comment as above, and when you press stop it keeps going, which makes it loose the little bit of realism it had. The volume wasn’t the easiest to find… although not hard, it could stand out a little more than what it is.
The pixel font and the font in your scroller clash, they don’t flow well w/ eachother.
Contact form could use a lot of sprucing up, very generic.
Pictures/Video section the subnav, thumbnail thing… would maybe work better in reverse pitch? And it also has some crazy tracking, like when I’m not on the menu itself and in the content area… when I move my mouse it still tracks it and moves the menu.
Wheels section pops up in an HTML pop up? Is there anyway at all you can incorporate it into the actual flash?

Button animations are real good… aside from bad font usage.
Transitions are real good too… simple but impactful
Pictures… although I don’t know if they are yours or not… are real nice and sharp looking.

cant read mp3 player, the deep blue color is really bad and the contrast isnt enough, even if i still had my 20 20 vision, i dont think i can read it.
try to load the music after the site loads so people can see the site while the music loads instead of like downloading an mp3.
transition animations are pretty nice withe the blink
i like the navigation animations.
video selection is nice
photos are clean and sharp

Im glad that people listen to me when I say dont go easy because if Im allowed to make the same mistakes over and over again than I will never learn… I do have a couple of questions for you though… Any ideas on and intro that might flow a little better than whats on now?
I dont think theres anything wrong with the fonts on the menu but I do agree that the fonts for the rest of the site blow (especially the home page) but I am still having issues with getting the dynamically loaded text file not allowing me to embed the fonts that I want to use so does anyone know how to fix that type of thing?
I have to have the wheels catalog come up in a seperate window because its php driven and I cant import into flash! I hate the fact that I have to have a popup window but unfortuantly thats what his catalog is made of and he doesnt want to change it so I have to give the customer what he wants right?
The mp3 player is a version of voets xml player because I truthfully dont know how to fully code an mp3 player but am working on trying to learn… I am going to change it though now that you mention it.

ooh just an idea, btw great site, with a few minor tweks could easily be a killer, what about an MP3 player designed to be look like a car stereo? maybe a little sound clip making it seem like a radio (that fuzzy scratchy noise) when someone hits the next or prev button… keep it more “in-the-theme” nice work for your “first” time
Not bad, I agree with the res tof the guys, I think Simplistik summed it up nicely. I will say that I rather like the menu system show/hide on rollover and the pages sliding out of the nav area. ( its apity you have to put the copy over the images, the images as soo kool) - careful about squashing the images in the gallery. Off to a good start… Take the guys advice and you should get it there soon enough. ps- the pixel fonts leave at 8px ( make sure their x any co ords are whole numbers eg x=12 y=32 not x=2.4), and use embed UPPERCASE characters in the text properties
ok I am trying to take this one step at a time… I have completly revamped the MP3 player so give me some feedback… Im still working on smoothing some of the graphics but let me know what you think…
YES! I finally figured out the problem with my embedded font for the home page… I had html bold tags on things and I guess with embed fonts you cant use bold at all because I cant have bold on in the properties for the text window in flash or html tags within the text document itself… but now that Ive got rid of them it works fine

Well Ive fixed a few bugs but I still cant quite think of what Im going to do to change the intro… Anyone have any ideas? I liked the idea of changing the mp3 player and I think the change that Ive made looks pretty decent but like I said I really cant think of what Im going to do for the intro!
Help me out I need some inspiration!
