Would someone be kind enough to post a link to microbians chromeless patch. It is no longer on the microbians website and I can’t seem to find the one I downloaded. Thanks.
Sorry… I don’t have one, but I don’t think it is worth it either.
The patch simply opened up a pop-up windows just like any other javascript pop-up window.
It opened a Chromeless window from IE browsers under IE6 SP1, but anything after that is just a pop-up and IE was the only browser to support it.
IE6 SP1 = no use
Netscape = no use
Opera = no use
Chromeless windows are pretty much gone now. There is a very limited amount of people who can see them now.

BTW I am aware that the patch only gives you a regular popup. That is why I deleted it shortly after downloading it (I thought a better patch would be out shortly).
Now that I realize that there probably will not be a “better patch” I wanted to use it as a quick fix work around. Thanks.
you say most people can’t see those windows,
when you use the chromeless windows on a website, what do those people see? a normal browser window?

IE 6 and below see Chromeless windows…
IE6 SP1 will see a full screen window, or if you use the patch it will be a basic pop-up window.
Every other browser will only see a regular pop-up window.
