I have a client that is in need of some e-commerce.
He would like to have ticket’s to his show sold from his website (which I am creating). His idea was Pay Pal but I dont think that’s the best way to go. I know there are a few companies out there who will do the credit card handling for you and you dont have to sign up for anything if you want to purchase a ticket - unlike pay pal.
My question is - does anyone know of a good solution(s) to this problem? Thank you very much in advance
But the reason I came in here and asked is because I wanted to see if anyone from here has actually used any of these companies and if they had a refrence of sorts to a good one. I was kind of hoping for someone with some expereince in this field to show me the light
But again, thanks!
And Sen - maybe if my name was Red Green would your solution help but I’m not and it wont. ****. I think we just found the ONE problem Duct Tape wont fix!
Use a shopping cart - oscommerce ( http://www.oscommerce.com ) , then intergrate it with one of the many payment modules you can get for it, the user still has to sign up, but only for the site your building, and not the site doing the transaction (like paypal). That way everything looks like it is done on your site.
I’ve installed and used it myself for a client, and it works well, and is easy to update, customize.
Also has some nice features, like when the ticket or whatever is sold out, it takes it of the shop (ie, you put in the quantitys of things for sale).
