Aren’t we forgetting about the new GTA? It’s still the biggest selling computer game series on any console of it’s generation. Although I really don’t think many people will buy an Xbox just because Halo 2 is coming out, or a PS2 because of GTA: SA, to be honest.

This PS2 is just for those folk who don’t have one yet. It looks nicer than the other one and the ethernet port will interest people who want to play online. No-one complained when Nintendo brought out the Gameboy Advance SP (Is that the right initials?). It was just a slightly improved version of the original.

Give Sony a break. They’re just trying to spread the word about the greatest console on earth. (Wow, that is gonna start one almighty argument. :evil: )

I completely disagree. I know 8 people that have purchased an Xbox and are getting DSL in preparation for Halo 2, and I’m sure there will be many more. :wink:

People have already bought Xbox just to play Halo 1 :stuck_out_tongue:

Well I am sure they are still selling plenty of them.

Smaller = less weight = less shipping = more profit
Smaller = smaller size = less shipping = more profit
Smaller = possible changes to manufacturing = more profit

hmmmm did I mention more profit…

Smaller = no hard drive = crappy graphics card = 2 controller ports = $hitty

Okay, I shouldn’t call it $hitty, cause it’s not…

I don’t think they still sell ‘plenty’ of them… who doesn’t have one, that want’s one?

It’s an alright system, I say alright because I think the Xbox is better. It was good in its time, you know, when there was no real competition.

Well the story said they expect to sell 14million of them.

So even if they save $1 on each one it’s worth it.

I only bought XBOX for Halo.
The only other game I bought for it was SegaGT.

The rest are not worth buying… Just rent them, finish them, and return them…
