New Site - Hybrid Site

I redid my site, before it was very dark and grey and all in Flash. The new site was done as a hybrid site. I can change everything using an administration site including the images in the portfolio, I have an interface for selecting the images, moving them and rotating them.

Please let me know what you think or if you have any errors. The content right now is just a basic idea of what I want it to say, hopefully I will have a friend update it for me.

Well it has to be a great site because you’re from Indiana! :wink:

Anyway, really… this is a really good site IMO.

I think I only have 3 things I didn’t like, or could be improved on.

  1. I think your logo is lacking… I see your site and I see the sites you’ve done and your logo doesn’t seem to speak the same language as your style. I like the H thingy but the circle… eh… I dunno.

  2. Portfolio section, I only think your rollovers could be a little better. They aren’t bad but maybe have the arrow thing ease from left to right or something… IDK.

  3. The bronze color doesn’t flow well w/ the rest of the site… it’s minimal but maybe you could use a diff color.

Good stuff though man… layout is unique and everything else flows nicely… well done

this might be kinda a stupid idea because I know not everyone likes preloaders but I really think your site could use one… It doesnt need to be anything goddy but I waited like 15 secs staring at a blank white screen before I saw anything on your site. Just my .02

Thank you for the comments. I’ll look into spicing up the portfolio buttons a little.

zerosignal0, my site is basically HTML with Flash used as little apps within the page. The content within flash doesn’t load until the rest of the page loads so you might have just got a server hang up for a minute there.
