As part of the forum rebuild, the AS tag has been removed. Syntax highlighting was something that was a mod that I installed to vBulletin many years ago, and like many mods, it fell out of support. While many are still able to get syntax highlighting working, this forum wasn’t quite as lucky when a forum upgrade was performed a few weeks ago.
After troubleshooting and trying various tricks, the only solution I had was to get rid of the AS tag and do a query to update all of the old posts that used the AS tag to instead use the
that is natively supported.
It is unfortunate that syntax highlighting had to be removed, but on the bright side, you all can now quote and copy/paste posts that contain code without running into the various issues the old AS tags posed :P
If I run across another syntax highlighter that would work (aka not require a lot of maintainance every few years!), I'll definitely test it out and get it back on these forums.
