I doubt it will. THe majority of the population haven’t even heard of 64bit and the ones that do, even a smaller percentage is going to buy one around HL2 release. If it was compatible the ones who has 64bit would have a distinct advantage over the 32bit users. Not fair.
PC is way better than console. I agree. I’ve got a PS2 myself and I never play with it. The first reason for that is that the games for PS2 are to expensive and although I have a DVD writer I wouldn’t know how to copy PS2 games… (If some1 knows feel free to tell me). The second reason is: I only have one game

Anyways I lent my PS2 to my stepbrother.
PC is cool!! I think too that all good console games are released on PC too. And you can copy or download PC games very easily :).
My favorite games are: Diablo II (not anymore but used to), AOE II (same), Counter-Strike (LOOOOOOOOOVE this game!!!), and thats about all.
I’m also waiting for HL 2 to release and with that Condition Zero … (I wonder …)
